Taking Out the Trash

What we throw away can say a lot about us – in a way it is a portrait of sorts. This drawing is a visual inventory of the trash in my bathroom over a few weeks. My objective was to treat items that might be considered as dirty or disgusting as beautiful objects that could be the subject matter of a work of art. It is also a reflection on the waste we produce in our day to day lives.
